ANZAC Day Celebrations in Western Sydney

Australian and New Zealand Army Corps (ANZAC) Day is celebrated every 25 April in Australia.

The ANZAC Day celeberation was forged on 25 April 1915 when the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps landed at Gallipoli, Turkey. More than 8,000 Australian soldiers were killed and more than 19,000 wounded at Gallipoli.

In Blacktown, NSW, an ANZAC Day March was held in the early morning today. The parade started at the corner of Sunnyholt Road and Second Avenue and proceeded to Blacktown RSL. A dawn service was held at the Cenotaph at Blacktown RSL followed after the march.

Following the service was a breakfast at RSL Club auditorium.

The live entertainment started at 8:30 am and will end at 7pm.
