Ronaldo Villaver – Australian Democrats Lead Senate Candidate in NSW
Ronaldo Villaver is the Australian Democrats Lead Senate Candidate in New South Wales (NSW) for the 2013 Federal Elections.
Villaver shares the same core values and convictions as the Australian Democratic Party and believes the constituents of New South Wales deserve better than the political wrangling currently happening between the major parties. “We need common sense, better laws, accountability and transparency,” said Villaver.
A migrant and a family man himself, Villaver believes in a fairer Australia regardless of ethnicity, creed or religion. “We need to have a safer, brighter future and immediate action is needed for better health and education,” said Villaver.
Ronaldo Villaver has entrenched himself in various community projects and was quick to respond to calamities and tragedies such as Victorian Bushfire and the Philippine floods. He served as the president of the Philippine Community Council of NSW (PCC_NSW) in 2009, the peak organisation of the Filipino community and is currently the Vice Chairperson of the Ethnic Community Council of New South Wales Inc. (ECC NSW Inc.) He has also served as a member of management committees of two Parramatta community centres.
He also holds a master’s degree in Agriculture from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand and pursued units on International Security Studies at Macquarie University.
Prior to migrating to Australia, he worked with Philippine government agencies such as the Department of Science and Technology (DOST), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) and at the National Food Authority (NFA).
Villaver says: “I’m excited and honoured to have been selected by the Australian Democrats in this coming election. I am appealing for community support especially for volunteers. We need to get the Democrats back into parliament so that the basic core values are returned to the people.” “We deserve better because our children deserve better,” he adds.

Ronaldo Villaver for Deputy National President of Australian Democrats
Dear Fellow Members of Australian Democrats,
This is to inform all members of Australian Democrats that I am a candidate as Deputy National President of our Party in the forthcoming 2013/2014 National Executive Ballot.
Teamwork with the Party is on top of the agenda and shall remain the ultimate aim of each and every member of the Australian Democrats. It is a powerful tool for the Party to attain its primary objective of getting elected in the Australian Federal Parliament on September 2013.
Finance, strategy, technology among others is equally important and I believe will follow as the national executive team of our organisation and its members will be rowing on same direction.
As you probably know, I was the number two upper house candidate of our Party in the last NSW State Election. Likewise, during the last federal election, I was the Party candidate representing the Greenway electorate.
Currently, I am involved in the Ethnic Community Council of New South Wales as its Vice-Chairperson.
May I then solicit the support of All Australian Democrats members on my candidacy.
Your vote for RONALDO VILLAVER is a vote for TEAM AUSTRALIAN DEMOCRATS.
Thank you in advance.
Yours in the Service of Australian Democrats,
Ronaldo Villaver
